Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it will hire 3,000 salaried employees this year, 800 more than its previous expectations.
As many as 90 percent will be Michigan hires.
Nearly 2,400 will be technical professionals in product development, manufacturing, quality, purchasing and information technology.
