Farmington Hills, Michigan (June 13, 2014) – Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions, one of the nation’s leading providers of commercial real estate services, is excited to be part of the development and growth surrounding the Crosswoods Office Park in the Worthington suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
Crosswoods Office Park, a premiere corporate campus managed by Friedman, and the surrounding area of Worthington, are experiencing a flurry of development activity. Located at the northernmost point of the I-270 loop in the heart of the Northern Arc, Crosswoods Office Park is within walking distance of lodging, popular restaurants, retail, and entertainment.
Nearly $95 million is being invested in much-needed road improvements to improve traffic flow with the addition of new ramps, the widening of US 23, as well as a tunnel that will take traffic below High Street. These improvements will help transform what was one of the worst congested sections of Columbus into an easily accessible, vibrant commercial corridor. In addition to the roadway construction project that is already ahead of schedule, the area surrounding Crosswoods Office Park is growing with increased demand for residential and commercial development.
Investments in new restaurants, retail, housing, and other service offerings are continuing to transform Worthington, known for providing businesses and residents with the attractions and conveniences of a big city combined with the charm of small-town living. A new complex of luxury apartments is scheduled to open at the end of October featuring 120 one and two-bedroom units. The Marcus Crosswoods Cinema, a 17-auditorium complex, has recently invested millions with the addition of state-of-the-art DreamLounger reclined stadium seating and 70-foot wide, three-story tall UltraScreens.
Now that improvements to area infrastructure have begun and with project milestones completed in such a short timeframe, there has been an increase in leasing activity at commercial properties throughout Worthington as well as an uptick in building sales. Just last week, Gladstone purchased an 118,000 square foot, 100% occupied building in Crosswoods Office Park.
“Friedman is contributing to the revitalization of the area with the recent completion of lobby and common area renovations at Crossgate Office Center,” said Karin Meier, Director of Commercial Property Management. “Additional upgrades are planned at One Crosswoods in the coming months. The development projects in Worthington are noteworthy and will greatly benefit residents, businesses and visitors of this bustling community.”
“We have had a presence in the Columbus market at Crosswoods Office Park since 2001. It is truly exciting to be a part of the growth and development in the area,” added David Friedman, President and CEO.
